Hello and happy Monday! I hope your weekend was a good one! Today I’m excited to share a little bit about a quilt I made awhile ago for a book featuring quilts with one of my favorite blocks, the 9-patch!
This book features 16 different quilts from the 9-patch…so much fun!
Block-Buster Quilts – I Love Nine Patches: 16 Quilts from an All-Time Favorite Block will be available in August and is available for pre-order now.
My quilt features two diferent 9-patch blocks set on point made with reds, creams and blues from Minick & Simpson. The wavy lines quilting was beautifully done by Abby Latimer.
There will be a blog hop coming up in August with a chance to win an e-copy of the book…so stay tuned for that.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
PS I’ll be back tomorrow with the second post in my series on building a fabric stash.

That's a terrific setting for your 9 patches. Such a versatile block that never fails to be cheerful!

Beautiful quilt Sherri: can't wait to see what else is in the book! And I've been building my stash a little too long: I need to "un-build" mine! LOL!! I made a quick quilt for my niece's baby this weekend and really just had to "shop" in my stash! It'll be nice to be able to have it all out on shelves someday instead of in the garage in boxes piled 5 high, though this way I do get a workout when I go looking for fabric! 🙂 Have a wonderful week: It'll be interesting to see your tips on stash building though: I always pick up good ideas from you! Hugs, H

Very striking quilt! Simple blocks but quite effective. This color scheme kind of evokes a Quilt of Valor.
