Hello! I’ve been going through my market photos and think I have enough for two more posts…so here we go again! One of the items on my market bucket list was to see the Splendid Sampler quilt made with my original block.
I’m so happy I was able to see this quilt…it is absolutely beautiful! The straight
setting with alternating light and dark sashing pieces really sets off all of the blocks…and the custom quilting is absolutely beautiful!
I had to get a few close up photos to share…
And then I was able to get my picture along with the block I sent in back in 2015! Participating in the Splendid Sampler project, book, and sew along is a quilting experience I’m truly grateful for!
Of course I had to stop by and see my friend Amy’s booth (Diary of a Quilter) introducing her new Gingham Girl collection–her projects are all absolutely lovely! I was also lucky enough to get to visit with her for a few minutes this market!
Amy’s booth-mate is another friend, Melissa of Polka Dot Chair. Her Safari Party collection is delightful! I was also lucky enough to get to visit with her!
Of course I had to snap a photo of Lori Holt’s Bee Happy Quilt…such a fun sampler!
I always make it a point to stop by and visit my friend Annie Unrein. I make so many of her patterns and love her designs and great instructions! This market I was able to get a picture with her, too!
I always love Amy Sinibaldi’s sweet fabrics, and her newest collection, Little Town is truly beautiful! Amy always has an inspiring display to share as well!
Alison of Cluck, Cluck, Sew always has a lovely booth! I did see her a couple of times and get to say a quick hello, but it was always while we were passing going opposite directions.
I’ll finish today’s post with some fun Moda news! You’ve probably heard about the Cake Mix patterns which go with Layer Cakes, but Moda has some fun new surprises ahead…Cupcake patterns to use with Charm Packs, and Matchbox Quilt boxes which are delightful little all-in-one kits to make a small block. These Matchbox quilts will be fun projects for road trips, for beginners looking to try a small project, and for gifts for your quilty friends.
It’s hard to capture even a small portion of the market experience in just a few blog posts…in fact while I was typing this I remembered quite a few booths I either didn’t get photos of or didn’t even see this time around. But I do have some more market inspiration to share in my next post!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
