I still have lots of market pictures to share…it’s so fun to look at them and remember the gorgeous fabric, the beautiful booths, and most importantly–the amazing people behind it all! Amber’s booth was absolutely gorgeous, and she was so very nice, too!
A few Moda booths…first, the unbelievably beautiful Bunnyhill Designs booth by Anne Sutton. Anne was so very kind and wonderful to talk to–Anne was one of the first “quilting stars” I saw when we arrived for set-up Wednesday afternoon!
And the Sweetwater booth…you couldn’t meet three nicer ladies!
I just love the Sweetwater houses quilt!
Heather’s booth–gorgeous. I’ve been sewing Heather’s designs for quite a while now…not sure why I didn’t ask her for a photo…she was also as nice as she is on her blog.
Heather’s new book is amazing too…I can’t wait to sew a few projects from it.
Okay…so this picture is outside at the Blogger’s Quilt Market Meet-Up. What a great group of ladies I got to meet that night! From left to right: Lori, me, Kris, Rae Ann, and Kim. I hope I have Kris and Kim in the right order–they are the twins from DIY Dish!
Another picture from the Blogger’s Meet-Up..this is Sachiko of Tea Rose Home–this is the first time we met, and she is just lovely!
Book signings happened nearly every hour on the hour, and I was able to attend many. Here are some of the Moda Bake Shop Crew: Natalia, Kim, Vanessa, Sweetwater, John, and Julie. The Moda Bake Shop Book, Fresh Fabric Treats: 16 Yummy Projects to Sew from Jelly Rolls, Layer Cakes & More with Your Favorite Moda Bake Shop Designers is terrific, by the way!
This is Dawn of Linen Closet Quilts–her booth and her designs are beautiful. It was fun to meet her since we’ve e-mailed a bit through our blogs and Twitter! Again…she was just super nice!
SarahJane Studio’s booth was amazing. Sarah Jane is a new Michael Miller designer with wonderful designs and some amazing stitchery patterns being released soon. Her SchoolHouse was wonderful–so glad I got to attend!
Okay…enough market photos for now (though there are lots more)! Last week I posted about a bag I was making for market. Actually I was making two. I made one using Ruby by Bonnie & Camille. Can I just say here that I love Ruby. In fact, I love it even more than Bliss (although I still hoard my Bliss stash)! I made this bag using a combination of patterns–loved carrying it at market.
I also made Stephanie’s “Oak Park” bag to carry at market…and for that one I used Terrain, Kate Spain’s new line! So…if you guessed Ruby or Terrain I’ll be gathering up the comments to draw for a couple of giveaways!
Thanks so much for stopping by (if you’ve read down this far)–be back with more market stuff (and the winners for the FatQuarterShop giveaway) soon!
