Happy Monday…and Hello November! I’m not sure where October went, but I love November and the beautiful weather we have been having here in southern Nevada!
Today is Minis and More parade day, and I’m happy to share some wonderful projects. Michele and I chose the Fig Mini Twirl, Mini Laundry Baskets, and Mini Star Crossed for the October patterns. I was so hoping to get my version of Mini Twirl finished, but with quilt market it just didn’t happen. I’m pulling fabrics for it today, though, so watch for it soon!
Even though mine isn’t finished…I do have a lovely version to share by
Hildy who made her blocks into a lovely pillow with a linen background and a scrappy binding!
Brenda pieced the mini Laundry Baskets…love this version as well!
And Karen got a jump start on Christmas sewing using Holly’s Tree Farm for her mini Laundry Baskets!
Because the next couple of months are likely to be pretty busy for everyone, we decided to make November’s pattern a free choice month. So make any mini quilt of your choosing, send it in by the end of the month, and we’ll add it to our parades! This should give everyone a chance to make that pattern they’ve been wanting to make, and I think it will give us all a great parade of ideas! We hope to have a lot of participants next month, so if you’ve been wanting to join in, this is a perfect time!
If you’re looking for ideas, the latest issue of Quilts and More, Winter 2015, has some fun projects, including a mini quilt I made…
I had a lot of fun making this little snowball table topper using the fun fabric, Snowman Gatherings II by Primitive Gatherings for Moda fabrics. The magazine also has other small projects perfect for next month’s parade!
Be sure to visit Michelle’s blog, Island Life Quilts, today to see some other fun mini quilts in her parade.
PS–I spent quite a bit of time sewing this weekend, so I have lots to share this week…be back soon! Thanks so much for stopping by!
