I’m back from a mini-vacation to Phoenix, Arizona. I didn’t do any sewing over the weekend, although I did do a little designing…and I’m ready to start sewing with my bundle of Odds & Ends! This is such a gorgeous line of fabric, and I’ve had a project in mind for it for some time, so I’m excited to set to work play!
Before I left last week I did some more organizing and now have my pre-cuts organized and sorted. I just have a few more shelves to finish up and then I can start on the closet…hoping to finish up all the organizing this week before school starts next Monday!
It’s always fun to find a treasure when sorting. I made this quilt from the Lori Smith book Fat-quarter Quilting: Twenty-one Terrific 16″ X 20″ Projects (That Patchwork Place)
a couple of years ago. I don’t know why I never finished it…and I even have the perfect place to put it on a wall, so it’s now officially goal #1 to finish for this week! It’s wonderful when you set something aside for such a long period of time and still love it as much as when you made it! I think I’m still in love with this fabric which is all from the collection Simple Abundance, an earlier line by Bonnie & Camille. I actually still have a fat quarter bundle of this line that I haven’t been able to cut into yet…still waiting for the perfect project I guess!
Hopefully lots of sewing and quilting happening here this week…see you soon!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

This is such a pretty mini quilt Sherri. I love Simple Abundance too – I have made 2 quilts for other people out of it, and happily have just enough left to make one last quilt for my bed (one day!). Love your work x

I have 2 jelly rolls of Cotton Blossoms, an earlier line of Bonnie and Camille. I love their fabrics too. I'm looking forward to your Odds ans Ends quilt. Whatever you do it will be beautiful.

I have two Charm-Packs of Simple Abundance that I saved for the right project. Wonder so what that will be?

What a pretty little project. I feel much more creative in an organized space, although my space isn't always organized!

I really love pre-cuts also. I have been buying the charm squares since they came out in those tins. Then I started jelly rolls, layer cakes…….always on the hunt for any pre-cuts……..love reading your blog and seeing all your wonderful projects.

That is a pretty project. And it is so nice when that happens! I like how you store your precuts out where you can see them. I store mine in a drawer, and then I forget I have them…. Argh.

That quilt is SO pretty!!
Kudos to you on the organizing! My kids are deep cleaning their rooms and some how that always seems to translate to me having to do cleaning in other rooms when they get rid of stuff. We're working on the upstairs now, and I'm hoping to organize my fabric and stitching stash soon.

Can't wait to see what you have in mind for Odds and Ends…I just love it but can't decide what I want to do with it.

I also have a bundle of odds and ends. Can't decide what to do with it. What did you decide to do with yours?
