I always love the days after Christmas. It seems like not only a good time to rest up from the holiday season but also a time to get organized for the new year. I have some fun things coming up in 2015, and so I will be taking the next few days to do a little planning! But first I want to share these quick boxy pouches I made on Christmas Eve.
I used the pattern Quick Zip Cases and really loved the simplicity. I did make one using the larger size (not pictured), but these four cases were all made using the smaller size. The smaller size is definitely big enough for sewing supplies, makeup, device cords and chargers, or whatever you want to use them for. There are no unfinished edges as you bind the two raw edges on the inside. And do they ever sew up fast! I used Soft & Stable for the stabilizer, and quilted with simple straight lines about an inch apart before beginning.
I made three for gifts and actually have one left over so I’ll have a gift on hand!
I also have a couple of sales to mention in case you’re doing any on-line shopping today…Fort Worth Fabric Studio has a site-wide 20% off all in stock items – includes already reduced/sale items! Use code holiday2014, good through Saturday, December 27.
