I’ve been catching up on a little “house” work lately. Probably not the kind I should be catching up on…but these “Full House” little houses have been so much fun to make!
I have all 18 houses finished and now just need to make my patchwork borders.
And I’m still a Farmer’s Wife, although I have no idea what week this is! I just finished up block #111, Wrench and block # 103, Whirlwind. I’ve got 50 blocks now in my Fig Tree version.
Love this block…
And this one, too!
And here are the same blocks in my Flurry Christmas version. I only have 44 blocks for this quilt as of now. I realized, though, that if I make just 6 more Christmas blocks, I’ll have enough to put them together into a lap-sized quilt that might just even get quilted this year!
I think I’ll work on finishing the Christmas version before I make any more Fig Tree blocks.
Although, I’m tempted to keep making these Christmas blocks…it’s fun to have a bright colorway to work on!
My Gumdrops quilt just arrived home this week too…I couldn’t wait to take a close up photo of the scrappy binding!
I really do love these colors!

My 2 BFF's and I got together on Saturday to do some quilting on the one gal's frame so I brought them each the new Sew Scrappy magazine. I had sticky noted mine with this really cute "Gumdrop" quilt to show them. This morning I ran the magazine thru my printer so I can put the picture of the quilt on my bulletin board with my list of 2012 projects. The actual pattern is already in a plastic sleeve with some 2.5 inch scraps.
Well, imagine my surprise when I really LOOKED at the article and the light went on that it was your quilt! The quilt is gorgeous and I'm noticing soooo many scraps in your quilt that i have in my stash!
I can't wait to make it.
Congrats on being published and thank you so much for a wonderful quilt!!!
