Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing my Hometown Summer Row Quilt in our beautiful Midsummer collection fabrics. Keep reading for all of the details as well as an up-close look at all of the blocks in the quilt video. Plus, we will be doing a sew along with this pattern, and I’ve got a preview of that here today as well.

Hometown Summer Row Quilt Details
The Hometown Summer Row Quilt finishes at 49 ½″ x 57 ½″ and uses a fat eighth bundle for the blocks. All of the blocks are traditionally pieced, and there are no special tools required (although there are some rulers and tools that do make block construction easier). This quilt would also make a terrific scrap quilt and stash-buster project. In addition to prints for the blocks, you’ll also need the following:
- 1 ¾ yards background(s) and inner border
- ⅞ yard outer border
- ½ yard binding
- 3 ¼ yards backing

Hometown Summer + Together Row Quilts Sew Along
Chelsi and I are happy to share that we will be doing a fun sew along with these two row quilt patterns in early 2027. Midsummer collection fabrics arrive sometime in December, and we want to wait until those are available for the sew along. Fun fact: both of these row quilts have rows that are the same width, so there are some really fun and unique ways to create your own special mix and match quilt. You’ll need both patterns to do this, and we’ll have more details as it gets closer to sew-along time.
