Hello! This was actually supposed to be my first thing in the morning Friday post…but somehow the end of the week just flew by, so I’m a little late! I’ve been doing quite a bit more organizing, a little secret sewing, and a lot of prep work for upcoming projects…and in the midst of all of that one of my favorite collections arrived
on my doorstep this week…Strawberry Fields Revisited, by Fig Tree & Company.
I’ll be sewing along with this year Fat Quarter Shop Crossroads quilt along, and my fabric kit for the sew-along arrived this week. The first block patterns will be available February 15th, but since the next few weeks are going to be busy I thought I’d get a head start.
You can get fabric requirements now if you’re going to use your own yardage, but I must say that I love the way the kit is put together this year. Cutting instructions are provided by the fabric rather than by the block, so your fabrics come in larger pieces. For me this means less waste and more scraps!
I also love that you get to make each block out of different fabric combinations…I actually have the blocks finished now that are shown in the photo below, and I loved being able to chain piece all four blocks at the same time.
You can get more information about the quilt along here. I’ll see you back on February 15th for this one!
Also…I had ordered a little bit of Strawberry Fields Revisited for my shop…
I have one Fat Quarter Bundle available as well as some yardage from one of my favorite prints (US shipping only).
I also started two Valentine’s projects this week (now normally I don’t do a lot of Valentine’s sewing, but I just fell in love with Sweetwater’s First Crush collection and couldn’t stop sewing with it)…
I’ll be sharing these soon!
Hoping to get a lot of scrappy sewing finished up in the next few days with the long weekend here…have a wonderful weekend!
PS Congratulations to Crickets Corner who is the winner of the $25 gift certificate from Lou Lou’s Fabric Shop (I’ve just sent you an email).

I love these and will have to add them to my stash for a pretty summer quilt. Now to find the perfect pattern. Rina

Love both of those fabric lines!! Also thank you again for all your tips on organizing and using our scraps – you have really put me in the mood to clean up a 'few' areas of my sewing room.

I have some First Crush fabrics they are great!
And i still have some Strawberry Fields from the first time around and can't wait to see them paired with the new ones:-)
I think I should first finish my Snapshot quilt before I start the one quilt-along but I already know that I will use different fabrics because that's more fun.
Wish you a wonderful weekend:-)
