Happy 4th of July! This little wall-hanging and pillows were some of my earliest quilting projects ever–made more than 15 years ago (pillows and wallhangings were patterns from “Little Quilts”). Although the buttonhole stitches are a little off, and the borders are a little wavy, I love the reminder these small projects give of my quilting journey.
And the Open Gate Quilts blog tour starts this week. This blog tour is a great opportunity to learn about Monique’s Fit to be Quarter ruler (I mentioned it on a recent post–it’s a wonderful tool to have)! There will also be free projects, recipes, and oh, yes, some free rulers.
Here is the line-up:
July 4th – Open Gate – Monique, http://opengatequilts.blogspot.com/
July 5th – Stashmaster – Lisa – http://stashmaster.typepad.com/

The very first quilted project I ever made is a wall hanging that is red white and blue. So imperfect but it's how my quilting addiction began and I love it.

Doesn't evidence of where we've been show how much we've grown? Great little creations Sherri!
