Happy Thursday! Today I’m going to begin sharing some of the quilts from my book Fresh Family Traditions: 18 Heirloom Quilts for a New Generation.
My friend Korindi took some beautiful photos of some of the book quilts recently, and so I’d like to first introduce you to “Indian Summer” pictured above. “Indian Summer” is one of my favorite quilts from the book and was pieced from the Chicopee collection by Denyse Schmidt. I love the modern look Denyse’s fabrics bring to this traditional block set on point!
Another quilt from the book is the beginner friendly “Sassy” quilt made with a charm pack and a jelly roll! I used the delightful “Happy Go Lucky” collection by Bonnie & Camille for this quilt, and it went together lickety split!
So…thanks to C&T Publishing and The Fat Quarter Shop…there is a giveaway going on today at the Jolly Jabber blog. Three copies of my book will be given away…so go leave a comment on the Jolly Jabber to be entered to win! In addition to the giveaway, Fresh Family Traditions is “Book of the Month” over at Fat Quarter Shop, and will be 20% off all month long!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Congratulations! The book looks great. You have such a great color sense. I have always enjoyed reading your blog-keep up the great work. A family tradition we have is hiding Easter eggs. While the women are busy fixing dinner, we have the guys hide the filled plastic eggs for the kids. Hiding them inside or outside is fair game. I have found eggs months later in some very unusual places. One year, I found some outside under the bushes in the snow.
