Are you ready to begin the year of Schnibbles? Well here it is…one corner…can you guess the pattern?

Here is another angle…

And here is my finished quilt top! Yes…it’s Winter White, one of my favorite Schnibbles patterns by Carrie Nelson of Miss Rosie’s Quilting Company! I decided to use the fabrics on the pattern cover, although I used a green print for my outer border instead of the blue used in the original. I’m definitely going to bind it in red. This quilt was a lot of fun to make…and fast! I procrastinated until just a couple of days ago and was able to finish yesterday even just working a couple of hours a day. So I know you all can finish in a month! And don’t worry about the flying geese blocks…you don’t have to cut a single triangle!

Four quilt shops have joined in the Year of Schnibbles fun. They are: The Quilt Shoppe, Cottage Quilts, Bear Paw Quilts, and Quilt Taffy. These wonderful shops are going to offer patterns, kits…and provide prizes for our giveaways!
Remember, participate each month, or just the months you can. Post your completed Schnibbles quilt on your blog (or e-mail a photo if you don’t have a blog). Leave a comment on this post after you’ve posted your quilt…you have until September 30th. Then, on October 1st Sinta and I will present the winner(s) and the parade of Schnibbles. Each month on the first of the month a new pattern will be announced. Also, remember that there will be a special prize drawing for those of you who are able to complete a Schnibbles each month. We are a big group–79, I believe, so this should be a lot of fun! Okay…go get those Schnibbles! And have fun!

    I have this one in my stash and decided to use Roman holiday for it as that charmpacks I have the longest in my stash. Just will have to pull a cream fabric from my stash for the flying geese blocks. Maybe I can have everything cut for my vacation and than after my vacation only sewing is left to do.

    Welcome to all the Schnibbles participants! It will be so fun to see everyone's Schnibbles quilts. We've listed four kits on our site, but can definitely make up a kit for anything we have in stock. Also, if you already have the charms and just need extra yardage, let us know and we can put together a finishing kit w/o the charms.

    Lisa's idea is wonderful! And we just received all the yardage for Spooktacular. We'll add that to the options as well.

    Hi Sherri,
    I have to admit I was quite excited this morning – September 1st has arrived. But I had to wait until after work before the day started in your part of the world ;o).
    You chose a beautiful pattern. ** it, hat I don't have this at home (mumble, mumble). So I just ordered it from the Quilt Shop (I chose Glacé because I fell in love with that line & it will take a long time before my DMBOM will be finished…).
    Now my only hope is, that the envelope doesn't get lost in space on its way to me. It's funny – sometimes it only takes a week, and others it takes nealy a month (gasp!).
    Your Schnibbles quilt turned out beautifully! Do you have the Fit To Be Geese ruler that Carrie prefers? I'm thinking of buying it for a long time but couldn't decide yet…

    Oh my gosh! I love that! I think Winter White is one of the few Schnibbles patterns I don't have, darn it. I am with Lisa–I want a table topper for Fall and just got a layer cake of Gobble Gobble.

    I have a bunch of Snibbles patterns but wouldn't you know it I didn't have this one. It's ok though, I visited my favorite on-line shop The Fat Quarter shop and got it ordered up for the September Snibbles Quilt. I'm going to be using Legacy fabrics for my quilt.

    Sherri I just finished my quilt top today and posted a photo on my blog. I still need to quilt it, I'll have that done before the end of the month. I really like how my quilt turned out. Thanks to you and Stina for doing this A Year of Snibbles otherwise I may never have made this quilt. I'm looking forward to doing these little quilts each month.
