Happy Friday! On Fridays I spotlight new-to-me notions, fabrics, and books of interest in the quilting world, and today I have a fun line-up of different goodies to share!
First up are these delightful Moda American Jane tins that arrived this week. The
smaller one will actually nest inside the larger one, but I plan to fill them both with goodies. They would both be perfect for small paper piecing or embroidery projects! They also come in different designs (I gave my daughter the 1 Canoe Two tins that arrived with them).
The new book Visual Guide to Patchwork & Quilting: Fabric Selection to Finishing Techniques & Beyond features one of my Valley quilts on the cover! It was fun when the publishers contacted me earlier this year to ask for a quilt for photography purposes…and it ended up on the cover…so fun! The pattern for this quilt isn’t in the book (find it here)…but I do have a pillow design included in the book! Also…the book is an excellent resource for beginner quilters!
Have you heard of Quilty Box ? I was recently sent the September box, and it had a lot of fun goodies inside!
Included was a small fat quarter bundle of Lecien fabrics by Jera Brandvig, a project book including a pattern for the fat quarters by Jera, a Pleasant Home/Riley Blake Ruler Pal ruler stand, embroidery scissors, thread, and Clover pins…such a fun assortment of items. It’s always fun to get surprises in the mail, and subscription services like this one make the perfect gift for yourself or a friend. Go here to subscribe to Quilty Box .
And…since last week’s Jelly Roll giveaway was so fun…how about another giveaway?! I have an extra set of American Jane tins (pictured in the first photo of this post) to give away to one of my readers. If you are interested, leave a comment with an idea of how you’ll use the tins, and I’ll pick a winner next week!
Finally…a sale from one of my sponsors…take an additional 20% off all sale items with the code HAPPYFALL from Bobbie Lou’s Fabric Factory!
Happy quilting, and thanks so much for stopping by!
