Happy Friday! This has been kind of a whirlwind week, and I’m happy for the three day weekend to be able to catch up! Of course I’m thinking about Veterans today and am ever so grateful for their sacrifices and their service!
First up for Friday favorites is the upcoming 2017 Mystery Designer Block of the Month program from Fat Quarter Shop.
This is my second year contributing a block design, and I am very honored to
have been invited to participate; however, I’ve also participated in nearly every year’s program. I always appreciate that the fabrics included each month are very generous pieces; it’s easy to make other small projects from the left overs. You can find out all of the details about this fantastic block of the month program here.
I was able to get some extra copies of the Quilts and More magazine with the pattern for my cover quilt “Arcade” included (if you haven’t ordered a kit because you didn’t have the pattern you can now order both). I have the Winter 2016 Quilts and More in my Etsy shop now.
There have also been a few fun books released recently in which I have projects (I have limited copies of these books available in my shop, too). Each book features a compilation of projects from a variety of designers, and they are a terrific value at just $6.99 each.
The Make Precut Quilts book has ten projects including projects by Camille Roskelley, Sweetwater, Amanda Murphy, and Cheryl Arkison. It’s really a fun book. I have two projects included and love the other designs included as well. Find it here.
The Make Baby Quilts book also has ten projects all perfect for simple and beautiful gifts for the babies you want to sew for! Find it here.
Make Pillows has twelve different projects with some really fun applique’ and stitchery designs included, too. Find it here.
Finally, Make Star Quilts has eleven projects of varying sizes and difficulty levels. Find it here.
With so many projects by such a variety of designers included in each book, they are really a great value!
I’m working on finishing up one last work in progress that’s been in my sewing room for almost a year now…hopefully I’ll have a finished quilt top to share Monday.
Have a wonderful weekend, and thanks so much for stopping by!

Thank you for sharing these great books! I love nothing better than sitting down with one of my quilt books – I often call it my 'homework' :)!
