Hello and happy Friday! Hope you have had a great week and have some quilting and sewing planned for the weekend!
I finished up the binding on my pineapple quilt yesterday! This was a good finish because I’ve been wanting a pineapple quilt for so long!
In the end I decided to go with the green dots from our Creekside collection,
and I’m really happy with how it turned out! It ties in with the pineapple stems perfectly!
I really love the backing, too…it’s gives even more of a happy summery feel to an already happy summery quilt!
I’m also working on finishing up a pillow for the booth with some of the extra half-square triangles from the Creekside sewing…more on this soon!
I’m loving this stack of fabrics I got from Fig Tree last week, too…our Desert Bloom spring dots are on the bottom, and most of the other fabrics are from the Moda Essentials collection.
I love red, white and blue fabrics which explains why I try to get some of nearly every Minick & Simpson collection. I have been waiting to see their newest collection at market in a couple of weeks, and then a little bird at Moda sent me a Layer Cake of Ann’s Arbor this week. It does not disappoint!
I love the yellows…
And these blues! I might have to design a new layer cake pattern just so I can use every bit of this fun collection!
Finally…get Craftsy classes under $20 through the weekend…see them here!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Gorgeous pineapple quilt. And that backing fabric! So perfect ?
Your pineapple quilt is a delight!!
(I can feel the summer warmth from here!)
Congratulations on a great finish!
I love your pineapple quilt and the green Creekside fabric is perfect as binding! I wonder a bit about the shade of green it actually is is it more of Fig Tree green, B&C green or Lellaboutique? It's sometimes hard to see that on a screen and it would be great if you could take a picture with other greens so I can judge it better:-)
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Beautiful updates! Love your pineapple quilt and love, love the blue backing on it. Reminds me of sitting by the pool with a bowl of fruit. Super choice.
Congrats of a fine finish with your pineapple quilt. That binding is perfect. Fun to see the other fun stack of fun, which makes it hard to wait and see all the new fun things at Market–good luck!
