Hello and happy Tuesday! Today I’m happy to share our Minis and More Christmas in July parade along with a few other ideas for your Christmas sewing! My red and green Fig Tree sampler quilt didn’t get finished up until after Christmas last year, so this year will be the first year I get to use it! So excited!
And I actually just finished up a new Christmas quilt top that I’ll be sharing with
you tomorrow. I used the Holly’s Tree Farm collection by Sweetwater for this one!
But now, I’m happy to share some Christmas in July sewing projects sent in for the parade; I know you’ll get some good ideas!
First up is Karen’s project. She fussy cut a fun Christmas scene and surrounded it with a wreath of pine. This is such a great idea for a Christmas pillow, wall hanging or table topper. There are a lot of cute Christmas prints out there that would make great centers for a design like this!
Hildy used a variation of the fun Dresden design that is part of the Splendid Sampler quilt along (block 26) and alternated the Dresdens with patchwork blocks. I love how the centers of the alternate blocks are also perfect showcases for fun Christmas fabrics!
Finally, Brenda made the mini version of my Linked quilt which was included in Quilts & More! I love her Christmas take on this pattern…I am going to have to add this to my list! You can read more about Brenda’s quilt here.
To see the rest of the Minis and More Christmas projects submitted this month, head over to Michele’s blog!
And for even more Christmas sewing ideas you might want to look at these posts I did last December…there are lots of ideas included that you can start sewing now:
- Patchwork Christmas Pillow
- Quilted Christmas Stockings
- Quilted Project Bags
- 15 Things to Make for Christmas
Thanks so much for stopping by!
