July is quickly getting away…did you realize Christmas is just five months from today? I decided I’d better get going on some projects and started my Mini Stockings…and I couldn’t make just one. The pattern was so much fun! I think I could make many, many more if I made the solid fabric versions as shown on the pattern cover!
I can’t say enough good about the pattern…it was easy to follow, and you know the stocking is just so perfect. It’s big enough for small gifts but small enough to be so absolutely adorable! The cuff was easy to make using Joanna’s simple scallop method, and start to finish you can make one in just a couple of hours. Have you started sewing for Christmas yet?
Congratulations to Heidi who is the winner of the Modern Holiday book from my stop on Amanda Murphy’s blog tour! Send me your address Heidi!
PS–I’m still working on getting my solids quilt put together…I’ll have it ready soon. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Last year I started sewing a Bucilla felt applique stocking in September and didn't finish it in time so I am going to take your lead and pick it back up right now!

Those are the cutest stockings ever! How small are they? I love the scalloped edge. Just adorable. They would be nice for giving, with a small giftie inside. Hmmmmmm…..no need for wrapping paper either. Thanks for the great idea. Have a super day!

i'm working on some quilts for the nursing home residents from our church for Christmas. i will need around 13 of them, so i thought i had better start early this year, instead of waiting until the last minute!
