Hello! Today I thought it would be fun to share some of the projects that have been made over the past month or two with our Creekside fabric collection. I love these fabrics for quilting, and I love them just as much made up into home decor items and accessories!
First is a fun backpack! We knew right away that we were making this using the
large grey floral print as the primary fabric! The pattern is the Back At Ya Mini Backpack Purse, and it’s perfect for a child’s backpack or for a small purse/travel bag for an adult. Our friend and very talented seamstress Kaitlyn Howell made this lovely sample for us! Chelsi is going to give this to her second daughter after Quilt Market (her older daughter already has one made with our Desert Bloom fabrics)!
Kaitlyn also stitched up one of her own patterns using some of the left over fabrics from the backpack. This fun bag is Kaitlyn’s Camden Street Satchel; this bag has a fun classic design and is sized just right–not too big and not too small! Chelsi will be using this after market!
Kaitlyn also stitched up two of the baskets (large and medium) from her Olivia’s Baskets pattern! I have made the medium and small sizes before (see them here) and now have fallen in love with the large size as well! These are going into Chelsi’s little boy’s room after market. The large basket can hold small quilts and toys, and the medium basket is perfect for diaper storage!
Kaitlyn also made all three sizes of the ByAnnie All Aboard! Train Case Trio. I’m super excited to use these after market. Not only are they perfect for cosmetics or jewelry, but they are also perfect for sewing and quilting supplies! Right now I’m torn as to which to use them for. I might be making myself a second set after market if I can’t decide!
It truly has been a lot of fun picking projects and fabric combinations for our Creekside booth at Quilt Market…hope you have enjoyed seeing them!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

All so nice. Especially like the back pack and storage boxes. I don't have the patience to fiddle with this kind of sewing, but I sure admire what others can do.
