Today I’m participating in a blog tour for the recently released book Vintage Quilt Revival: 22 Modern Designs from Classic Blocks. I was able to attend the Schoolhouse presentation on this book at International Quilt Market in Houston this fall and thought you might want to see some of the photos from the presentation.
I met all three authors in Houston (Faith, Lee, and Katie are all as nice as can be)! It was a treat to see their terrific quilts and projects in person...and I was also able to get a sneak peek of the book.
There are quilts and projects of all sizes in the book…
I had a hard time deciding on my favorite blocks and projects…
As part of this blog tour, bloggers were each asked to select a block, make it, and send it on. Faith, Lee, and Katie are making charity quilts with our blocks…isn’t that a great idea?
I picked the “Double Z” block because…well…I’ve had a thing for half-square triangles lately!
I gathered up some of my Moda Bella solids…made some half-square triangles…
And in just a short time I had my block!
There is a lot more sharing about this book…visit all of these other stops on the tour for more sneak peeks at the blocks and projects:

Such a terrific quilt! That would have been a fun school house to attend. And your block would be perfect to make with Triangles On A Roll 🙂

That is a fascinating block/quilt. I truly was sitting here at my computer with my head turning back and forth like a dog trying to figure out how the block translated into the quilt!! Beautiful! And thanks for sharing the school house pics.

Very fun! I really like the idea that they will be donating a quilt made from everyone's blocks!
Those quilts look amazing!
