Now that it’s officially summer, I thought a fun start of the season post would be a roundup of some of my favorite summer quilts from over the years. When I started making a list of the ones to share, I was so surprised at how many of them ended up on my list! Enjoy part one of my Favorite Summer Quilts, and I’ll share more soon!

Favorite Summer Quilts
Endless Summer
Endless Summer evokes all of the delightful memories of a lazy summer day. It’s pieced in our Walkabout fabrics and was one I had on my list to make for quite some time. There is also a separate pattern for an Endless Summer Mini quilt that I also love!

Sea Glass
Sea Glass is a Layer Cake favorite and is also pieced with our Walkabout fabric collection. There is also a mini version of this design that is included in the pattern. Something about this design and these fabrics inspired the Sea Glass quilt, and it will also always remind me of summer because I pieced it at a summer quilt retreat!

Coastal Summer
I designed Coastal Summer with our Strawberry Lemonade collection and feel like not only does the fabric evoke a feeling of summer, but also this quilt design. Stars, flying geese, simple patchwork, and flowers are added layer by layer to this beautiful medallion quilt.

Harbor
Harbor might be one of my most favorite summer quilts! It truly was inspired by summer vacations in southern California and specifically the Dana Point Harbor area. This one is pieced together with fabrics from our Raspberry Summer collection (another nod to lazy summer days)! I also designed a mini quilt option for this delightful row quilt (you need the Harbor and the mini setting pattern to put it together).

Summer House
I designed my Summer House quilt in the summer of 2023 and sent it off to be published in American Patchwork & Quilting (the magazine titled it Heart of the Home for publication; however, when I got the publishing rights back and created a stand-alone pattern for the quilt, I gave it my original title–Summer House). This one was both a cover girl and a quilt-along quilt. It’s definitely one of my favorites ever, and I’ve also made it with our Laguna Sunrise collection.

Getaway
Nothing says summer like a fun planned or spur of the moment Getaway! In keeping with the summer theme of many of our Strawberry Lemonade collection quilts, my Getaway quilt also says summer with its delightful stars and stripe blocks. (I can’t wait to also make this one in our Midsummer collection)!
Thank you so much for stopping by today for a little roundup of some of my Favorite Summer Quilts! I do have more to share including some of Chelsi’s fun summer quilt designs. Stay tuned!
Happy quilting!
