Hello and happy Thursday! Today I’m continuing on with the 2017 quilts. My first finish the second half of the year was a special one. I was able to finish up a quilt started by my grandmother who passed away a couple of years ago.
Even more fun was the fact that I was able to gift this quilt to my Mom for her
birthday in November! This quilt was also the inspiration for a fun quilt along we did here on the blog this summer. See the Scrappy Sew Along information on this quilt here.
Our The Front Porch fabric arrived at the beginning of July, and I started sewing the patterns for that collection. Berry Baskets was one of my favorites! Get the pattern here.
Flower Garden was another of the new designs for The Front Porch collection. This is such a sweet design for a little girl or for anyone who loves flowers! Get the pattern here.
Lattice was one of my favorite quilts of the whole year. I think it’s because I just love the way the low-volume prints worked as backgrounds for many of the blocks and added just an extra special “texture” to this quilt. Get the pattern here.
I really love the Pink Lemonade pattern. There is just something so fun about the design of these blocks with the on-point setting. I really should make a bigger version of this quilt this year! Get the pattern here.
And Porch Swing was the final The Front Porch collection quilt. This is a fast and fun jelly roll pattern that goes together in a jiffy! Get the pattern here.
Another summer finish was my version of the first quilt in this post. Since I knew I was gifting my grandmother’s original quilt to my Mom after I finished it, I made one with left over fabrics from some market sewing I did for Joanna Figueroa of Fig Tree Quilts.
And then I started making Christmas quilts! First up was making my Hometown quilt pattern in a Christmas version! I love this quilt! Pattern here.
My Jolly Bar Jazz quilt was another fun finish this year. I used the Merrily collection by Gingiber for Moda fabrics (pattern takes two Jolly Bars of this collection). You can see my original post with finishing information here.
And…my final finish of the year really was the biggest…my king-sized scrappy Christmas Log Cabin quilt is one of my favorites ever. All the details for making this quilt in several sizes can be found here.
I have one more post to share tomorrow: I’ll be sharing the mini quilts and table runners!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

They are all such lovely quilts. I really enjoyed making your grandmother's quilt – I have yet to quilt it though.
Thank you so much for sharing them all. Quite an impressive number of finishes!
