I hope you are okay with still another post on this quilt. It arrived back from the quilter this week, and I had to take some photos. It really is one of my favorite quilts of all time.
There are so many of my favorite fabrics in this quilt. I think I know either the designer, manufacturer or collection for every piece of fabric included (and in most cases I can name all of the above)! Some of these fabrics were from quilts we love and use in our family, and some are from pieces in my stash that I was saving for "perfect projects."
Within 30 minutes of unpacking this I had the binding machine-stitched around the edges. I think I'll be binding it before my other quilts on the binding "to do" list!
I used a fun print from Joel Dewberry's Notting Hill collection for the backing (got it on sale at a really good price). And I decided to go with my scrappy binding...it's been really fun to see the fun fabric combinations!
I decided a fun, "not too busy" all-over pattern would be best for this, and I'm really happy with how it turned out!
Now all that is left is to finish hand-stitching the binding and to put it in the wash for that "crinkly" look. Then this quilt will be staying in my family room and hopefully being used every day!
Details: Started: January 2013
Finished: April 2013
Size: 72" x 72"
Fabrics: Fabrics I heart from my scrap bin and stash
Backing: Joel Dewberry Notting Hill

By the way, I have to give a shout out to Abby who did the machine quilting. She was wonderful. She has terrific rates (.01 an inch for all edge-to-edge designs) and has a 72 hour turn around time.
Thanks so very much for stopping by!

It's beautiful Sherri! I love your colors and the white running through most of the blocks.
That really is one of my all time favorite quilts you have made, too. Love all of your fabrics together to make such a bright happy quilt.
I love seeing this pattern made up with scraps. Yours is so pretty.
It turned out great.
What a beautiful quilt! I have missed the other posts regarding this quilt, so I'm glad you showed it today. It's so much fun to do a quilt with a lot of different fabrics. The quilting came out beautiful, too. Have a super day!
I just love it also! I love how you can remember/name all of the fabrics/fabric lines :0)
Enjoy snuggling under your quilt,
Stefanie
Love your scrappy quilt, did you use a specific pattern or wing it? 72-hour turn around on quilting, that's amazing and the price, it would have cost me over $80 to have on all-over quilted that size. It's beautiful!
I've noticed how quickly you get your quilts back--72-hour turn around time!
This is a fun quilt and glad it fosters so many memories of friends, family and good times. It's the best reason to make a scrappy quilt I've heard of!

Look forward to using it by next weekend. It really is a wonderful quilt.
Love it and wish it were mine. Guess I'll just have to make my own.
Using the stash fabrics gives it a homey feeling I think. When I first saw the quilt, it reminded me of a "Nana" quilt - one that is made with scraps and love. This will be a treasure for you always! Enjoy :)
I never get tired of seeing this quilt. Or any of your quilts for that matter. :o)
Your quilt is beautiful! I have a toddler size and 72" x 72" scrappy trips around the world quilts I am working on. I just love the process!!
Have a nice weekend. :o)
