Small Projects Round Up

Hello!
I’ve made it a tradition to review my year in quilts and projects as
each year comes to a close.  This year I believe it will take me four
posts:  Two posts will focus on the large quilts, and an additional two will
share the mini quilts, table runners, smaller projects, and bag finishes. I decided to start with the smaller projects and bags since some of these are quick projects you might still have time to make before Christmas.

My first small project last year was this fun Zip Organizer that I keep in my

 purse from Zakka Style: 24 Projects Stitched with Ease to Give, Use & Enjoy (Design Collective).  This was a really fun project–one that I would definitely make again!  (See the original post here).

Another small project was this sewing machine mat I made to use when traveling to retreats.  It was quick and easy, and it really does help to have some padding under your machine when sewing on portable and hotel room tables!

Pot holders have always been one of my go-to gifts.  See the original post with tutorial information for these patchwork potholders here.

This cute fabric basket and small key lanyard were fast and fun as well. Original post is here.

These “quilt as you go” jelly roll place mats were made using Soft & Stable for interfacing.  They really hold up nicely even with washing. Details and the original post here.

One of my new patterns this year was this fun Aubri Tote!  I think I need to make a new one using The Front Porch fabrics as well! The pattern is available in PDF and paper in my Etsy shop!

I had forgotten how much I love these little bags until I found this photo.  I usually give these for gifts and guess I’d better make some more!  The fabrics are all from our Creekside collection, and the pattern is the small Open Wide bag from Annie Unrein.

A Messenger bag with The Front Porch blues and greens.  This is another pattern from Annie Unrein, the MJ’s Messenger Bag.  This one was another great project to sew but will take you a little longer to make.
