We just returned home last evening from another weekend in California…this time in San Diego. It’s hard to believe I’ve been to California twice in the last two weeks; it was beautiful there, but it’s so good to be home. I cleaned up my sewing room before leaving, so I can’t wait to get some serious quilting accomplished this week. Before I left, though, I pieced block 11 of the Fat Quarter Shop 2011 Mystery Designer Block of the Month. This block was designed by Heather Mulder Peterson–a really great block!
And here they are together…can’t believe there is just one block remaining for this quilt!
I hand-stitched the binding on my Summer Day Schnibble while in San Diego this weekend…it seemed like the perfect quilt to be sewing on surrounded by so much greenery and flowers!

I really like what you've done with that line of fabric. It is one I have looked at and could not decide if I liked it or not. Seeing your quilt has pushed me to the like side. 🙂

Beautiful quilts!! I love this fabric: i'm doing a large (3") hexie with this line. I haven't decided if I'm going to do flowers or just a random arrangement, but I'm just working on getting the fabric sewn to the paper pieces!!

I really love both those quilts, but especially Summer Love and I've just ordered the pattern for that. I really love Strawberry Fields and because I was too late in getting the finishing kit I have decided to use all the fabric for my Farmer's Wife quilt instead. You did really good girl.

Another trip to Calif??? Wow, you wouldn't be checking out the colleges would you??? I love SF fabrics… I am going to love this quilt. I already hate the idea of not having the fabric to play with some more.

I have enjoyed watching your progress on this. It's amazing how you can keep up with these BOMs. I can't. I love that gingham check on that binding. Awesome.
