Hello and welcome to update day for the Scrappy Log Cabin Quilt Along! I’ve finally been able to start working on my Log Cabin blocks again after coming home from Quilt Market, and they are really so much fun!
They really do go together quickly when you are able to do some chain piecing
while sewing. Also, from here on out I’m going to make blocks in groups of either green centers or red centers so I don’t have to think as much while sewing.
I’ve also decided to start making my blocks even more scrappy…so I’ll be using four reds and three greens in a green-center block for example. I’ll share some of these next time!
If you are just seeing this for the first time…get all of the details for making these blocks along with the downloadable PDF for cutting from this post.
Also, I’ve listed a limited amount of The Front Porch Christmas bundles (available in fat-quarters and half-yards) in the shop. These are PRE-ORDERS and will ship in early February.
PS…I also have a limited amount of The Front Porch mini charms available now…get one free with paper pattern (or other physical item) orders of 10$ or more while supplies last!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Happy Quilting!

What size did you make the center square? I'm guessing 2 1/2 – 3"? I love making log cabins!

Gathering up my fabrics, ordered the ruler! Hoping to make a few of these blocks before the holidays but realistically it’s a project for January. ?
