Here at home, I’m working on some fun sewing projects and doing a little organizing as well (seems to be what I do most Saturdays, lol)! Saturday Seven 412: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
This post on “How Setting Boundaries Around Sleep Will Make you a Better Quilter” has some terrific ideas. I used to stay up late in the night quilting, but no longer do that because of many of these reasons. And if you’re working on decluttering any area of your home, this post has some terrific ideas for help when that motivation fades.
2. Recipes to Try
It’s October, so bring on the pumpkin recipes! I’m definitely making these One-Bowl Pumpkin Muffins. And I can’t wait to try these Pumpkin Spice Pancakes! And here is a roundup of quick and easy casseroles perfect for fall. Finally–something amazing for dessert–Chewy Fudge Brownies with Crackly Tops!
3. Quilt + Sew
First, I’m super excited about having a project in the latest issue of American Patchwork & Quilting magazine! You can see my table runner above center. It’s pieced in the Lella Boutique collection Berry & Pine. Vanessa’s darling pillows are part of the magazine as well. You’ll definitely want to pick up this issue–Find a copy here!
4. Book & Podcast Recommendations
This week I enjoyed “The Busy Woman’s Guide to Reading More” from Best of Both Worlds. Laura and Sarah share what they are currently reading and also offer ideas for getting more reading hours in your week. I also thought “This is Your Brain on Phones” was very thought-provoking.
