Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 398: Lifestyle & More for Quilters with a variety of inspiring things I’ve found from around the internet this week (I share at least one thing I’ve found in seven different categories). I hope you’ll find some ideas for your weekend and the week ahead.
Here at home, I’m definitely planning on some sewing time–I have new fabrics and a good list of projects I’m hoping to get working on. I’m also hoping to do some home organizing and decluttering and possibly even a little decorating. After all, it’s too hot to go outside right now!

Saturday Seven 398: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
This piece titled “You Are Not Behind: 10 Lies That Make You Feel That Way” was reassuring to me! I also loved these 9 Daily Reminders for Anyone Trying To Live an Intentional Life.
2. Recipes to Try
These Slow Cooker Shredded Beef Sandwiches look amazing! I’m definitely going to try this Coleslaw recipe soon, too. Finally, I have to try this Triple Berry Cobbler soon–it promises to have the yummiest topping, too!
3. Quilt + Sew
This darling Stuffed Tree pattern from Lella Boutique is so cute! It’s never too early to start planning for Christmas! And my friend Amber just shared a tutorial for a framed double-sided Dresden–really cute!
4. Book & Podcast Recommendations
I loved this episode from Cal Newport on his “One-Page Productivity” method. I’m going to use it for a few weeks this summer. (I also thought this essay on Cal’s blog was so timely and important for parents and grandparents).
5. My Amazon Storefront
I know that Prime Days just ended and that everyone has been inundated with things to buy from the sales. But did you know that I regularly update books and products I love on my Amazon storefront? You can check out the books, quilting products, and home products I love at any time.
6. Quilting Life Academy Begins Monday!
Doors are open now to register for my next session of my Quilting Life Academy course for beginner and intermediate level quilters. This will be the final session of this course for 2025, so if you’ve been thinking about signing up, don’t wait! We will be starting the 6-week course on Monday, July 14th. My course takes you from start to finish with videos you can watch again and again on every step of the quilting process. We also make a beautiful star sampler, and there are lessons on organizing, tools, and more with downloadable printables and small projects.
