For today’s Friday Favorites post I thought I’d start out with one of my favorite quilts from my book C&T Publishing Fresh Family Traditions: 18 Heirloom Quilts for a New Generation
. This quilt is Sassy…and it uses just 42 charm squares and 42 strips 2 ½″ x width of fabric (a charm pack and a jelly roll plus a little extra of what you will be using for your binding or backing).
I’ve been wanting to make this one again for quite a while, and I finally
decided on fabric for it…my Dear Mr. Claus jelly roll and charm pack I’ve been hoarding saving for a couple of years now! Plus, I’ll be getting a jump start on Christmas. I do have a lot of Christmas quilts to decorate with, but I’ve been wanting to make a Christmas quilt for one of our guest beds for quite some time now!

Another favorite are these Mod Corsage fabrics by Anna Maria Horner that arrived in this months subscription box from Cotton Crates! The colors are so fresh and vibrant…and I hadn’t really seen these fabrics up close before. It’s always such a treat opening up their box and being surprised by the fabric bundle they’ve sent that month!
Finally…just one more video to share…this is a fun one if you haven’t seen it yet…it’s got bloopers from some of Kimberly’s recent filming. I think it’s great that she made this up…there is even a little cameo of me…and I’ll tell you…it was always fun on the set because everyone had such a great sense of humor…laughter is the best medicine!

Really nice quilt. You used a charm pack and jelly roll of the same line of fabric but you didn't say how much cream fabric you used to double sash/border each block. 2-3yards?
