Hello, friends! I’m sharing something “old” and something new today! My Backyard Blooms Quilt and Table Runner are now available as a printed paper pattern. I’ve added instructions for a table runner version and can’t wait to share both of these quilts with you. I’ve been working on getting all of the patterns from my out-of-print books into paper version, and it’s so fun to have this popular design ready as a stand-alone design.

Quilt Details
The Backyard Blooms quilt pattern was originally published in my Home & Hearth book which is now out of print. When getting the pattern ready to sell in booklet format I decided to add a fun table runner option–more on that below. Backyard Blooms was originally pieced in the Folktale collection by Vanessa Goertzen of Lella Boutique for Moda Fabrics and finishes at 60 ½″ x 60 ½″. It’s also Layer Cake friendly and also works well with fat eighths, fat quarters, and your stash fabrics! Finally, while the lap quilt is set on point, these blocks are equally as cute with a straight setting as shown in the table runner.

I used a mix of aqua, pink, and green prints from our Delightfully Yours collection mixed in with some of the low-volume background fabrics from that group. I also used the floral on white for the border along with an aqua stripe binding. The runner finishes at approximately 19″ x 42″ and was quilted by my friend Vicki Willard.
Thank you so much for stopping by for today’s Backyard Blooms Quilt and Table Runner post.
Happy quilting!
