Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing an A Quilting Life Favorites May 2025 post with the most read posts, sewing and quilting finishes, and things I’m loving right now. It’s always good for me to look back over the past month and do a little recap and review. Keep reading for all of the details.

Most-Read Posts May 2025
Below are the most-read posts from May. Block of the Month and Saturday Seven posts are always in the mix, and this month my recent non-quilting book review post made it in the top posts as well:
- A Quilting Life Block of the Month May 2025
- Saturday Seven Lifestyle Posts for Quilters
- Moda Blockheads 6 Block 1
- A Quilting Life Bookshelf 2025 Quarter One
- Backyard Blooms Quilt and Table Runner
- Harbor Quilt Along Update
- Quilt Works in Progress May 2025
Made (finished) in May
I didn’t get as much sewing done as I would have liked during the month of May. I spent a lot of time getting ready for our southern Utah retreats and cutting fabric kits for those events. But I did finish up a new Delightfully Yours table runner, a Mini Quilt using my Harbor Row Quilt design, and a fun quilt for our main retreat project.
- Backyard Blooms Table Runner (lap quilt included in this pattern, too)
- Harbor Row Quilt Mini
- Sea Breeze Quilt
Five Things I’m Loving Right Now
When I review my months, I always look at the things that made the month extra special along with simple things that made the month easier. Here are the things that made my May extra special:
- First, I’m so grateful for everyone who made our May retreats possible. To Diane and her tireless friends who organized and crafted the events to my daughter Chelsi and friend and fellow Moda Designer Camille Roskelley and especially to all of the incredible quilters who attended–thank you to each and every one of you.
- I was able to see three fantastic musicals this month–I loved the productions of The Wizard of Oz and The Little Mermaid we were able to see at Tuacahn Ampitheater. And I was also able to see Hamilton at The Smith Center in Las Vegas with my son Billy, his wife Isabel, and my daughter Candace.
- This narrow utility cart holds anything and everything–it’s particularly helpful for storing things in small spaces! I purchased it for a bathroom, but it would also be great in a small sewing space.
- This incredible book on William Morris’s designs that incorporate flowers–I’ve loved browsing through this since it arrived.
- And finally, our beautiful May weather. This is definitely one of the coolest Mays I remember. While June has been off to a terrific start, I know it might get really hot very soon; I’m grateful for a real spring this year!
Thanks so much for stopping by to read the A Quilting Life May Favorites post. If you’re looking for more of my favorite’s posts inspiration, you can find my previous posts in this series here.
