I’ve really missed working on my Farmer’s Wife blocks…so I’m renewing my commitment to work on them each week! Okay…I wrote that on my blog, so I’ll be holding myself to it!
This is block #63, Ozark Maple Leaf…I used two different yellows from California Girl.
And this is block #23, Country Farm. I also used prints from California Girl for this block.
I only finished two blocks last week, but I’m really going to try and do 3 a week until I finish the quilt. It’s my goal to have both of my Farmer’s Wife quilt tops together by the end of the summer.
This little stack of Tapestry (along with some of the other prints that aren’t pictured) arrived at my house last week…I’ve made one market quilt with it so far…and have one more to make. You can bet this weeks Farmer’s Wife blocks will be made with Tapestry too!
Before seeing Tapestry, Mill House Inn was my favorite “fall” Fig Tree line, and “Strawberry Fields” was my favorite “spring” Fig Tree line. I have to say that Tapestry has taken the top spot for the fall line category. I. Really. Love. This. Fabric. It’s just gorgeous!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I really love your blocks. Wish I could have been more motivated with mine but I really wasn't feeling the mojo with them.

Beautiful fabric, is Tapestry available to purchase yet?

Your blocks are wonderful and so perfectly pieced! Do you have any tips for sewing these little treasures? For example, do you starch your fabric before you cut, make your own templates or use purchased ones? I have purchased the book and have made one block, but the block is far from perfect. Any tips would be appreciated! Thank you!

Your blocks look fabulous. What a good idea to post your goals! I may follow with your idea. :0) I have a few that need finishing. :0)
Tapestry looks like a beautiful fabric. What fun to be creating with it. :0)
Have a fantastic week.

Hmmm, better than Patisserie or Butterscotch & Roses?? I can't wait to see it in person to judge for myself. 😉

Can't wait to see what you create with Tapestry, Sherri. I've finally been using my (considerable) beloved stash of Mill House Inn after seeing sneak peaks on Joanna's blog! I'm pleased to hear its as lovely in real life!! x

Lovely blocks, love seeing them done in a differant type of fab. My Farmer's blocks were done in reprod. fabs, I really like it. The blocks went together really easy. Really like doing the 6 inch blocks. Hope designers come up with more 6 inch block designs this spring.
