Hello, friends! Today I’m excited to share projects made by me and Vanessa Goertzen of Lella Boutique for American Patchwork & Quilting! This precut challenge was for each of us to create projects using one charm pack of Vanessa’s Berry & Pine collection. Vanessa made the most darling pillows, and I made a table runner. Charm Pack Table Runner & Pillows
I was super excited to join in the challenge and create a project with a charm pack of Vanessa’s Berry & Pine collection. Vanessa and I chatted early on and decided I would do a runner and she would do a pillow pattern. But then it wasn’t until much later that I got to see her design and she got to see mine! Of course, now I definitely need to make her pillow in our new Poinsettia & Pear collection!
Charming Stars Table Runner
I tried to utilize as much of the charm pack as possible–making the stars scrappy and even using low-volume fabrics for background squares alternating with the smaller stars. It was fun to use a majority of the prints in this super scrappy runner. The runner finishes at 15 ½″ x 51 ½″.
Ornament Boxes Pillows
Vanessa’s darling pillows finish at 17 ½″ square making them perfect for an 18″ pillow form. I love how the ornaments so beautifully show off the fabrics. And I also love that Vanessa used colored background fabric for both of her pillows, giving them a clean and contemporary look. Watch for me to be making these soon in Poinsettia & Pear!
