Saturday Seven 399: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
I loved this piece on “How to Ground Yourself: 5 Minute Grounding Resets that Actually Work.” And this one is also super helpful–thoughts on Why Staying Hydrated Matters for Quilters.
2. Recipes to Try
This Cowboy Salsa looks so good, and I love that the recipe author shares so many ways to use it! And this Easy Cucumber Avocado Salad looks super fresh and easy for quick summer meals. Finally, this Salmon Spread with Grilled Salmon also looks so yummy!
3. Quilt + Sew
I’m super excited to share a new mug rug/table runner pattern (mug rug pictured above). I made the mug rug sample with scrappy Sherri & Chelsi fabrics. The table runner has three of the star blocks and is absolutely darling as well–I’m working on that this weekend. I also finished up my Window Box wall hanging with a scallop border–blog post on that one is coming next week! Also, Vanessa’s Magic Dot fabrics are on sale this month at Fat Quarter Shop–so many good fabrics that blend with other Moda collections here!
4. Book & Podcast Recommendations
This week I started reading How to Be Busy: Unhurried Living When Your Life is Chaotic–review coming soon! I also enjoyed this recent episode of the Happier Podcast.
5. Home Stuff
I loved this Simple Home Reset Idea since we are halfway through the year. And these Ideas for Making a Simpler Home are good whether you are moving or just looking to clear out some clutter.
