MInis and More

Hello and happy Thursday! And happy February! On the first of the month I always share small projects and mini quilts, and this month's parade features my Hometown Mini quilt!  I have to say it's been really fun to see all of these quilt photos come in this month!  There are always so many fun interpretations of the pattern to see, and I end up wanting to make another one myself!

Our first quilt is from Melanie...and I love that she was able to use some of our

The Front Porch fabric for her quilt.  I actually almost made this quilt using this fabric last fall but got side-tracked by other projects. Melanie had just a charm pack and really made great use of it, making a cute scrappy border, too!  (You can read Melanie's blog post about this quilt here).

Karen made this amazing Valentines version of this quilt using the First Crush collection by Sweetwater.  I love this so much...I mean the black polka dot background...and then the scrappy low-volume wonderful! I might be copying this one as I have bits and pieces of these fabrics still in my Valentines bin!

Brenda's version just say's January to me.  There is just something about these cool blues that appeals to me after the Christmas decorations are put away.  These fabrics are from the Blue Sky collection by Edyta Sitar. Beautiful!

And...Kim made this beautiful version using our Creekside fabric collection!  I love this one, too! I  especially love how she used the setting triangles fabric for the binding to tie it all together!

Be sure to visit Michele's blog, Island Life Quilts to see some more versions of this pattern today!  And...if you like the mini, you may want to make the full-size version of this quilt.  You can make all of the blocks for the lap quilt size with just a Layer Cake! (Patterns available here).

Michele and I have chosen a very spring-like pattern for next month.  It's one we've both been wanting to make.  We are sure you will love making this fun mini strawberry quilt in February. The pattern is by Margot of The Pattern Basket and  is available here

Thanks so much to everyone who sewed along and to everyone who visited our parades!  Happy quilting!

Love all the quilts in this parade they are so pretty! I think I'll shamelessy copy Melanie's idea as soon as I have some of your new fabrics. But then I also wanna copy Karen's Valentine's version, Breand's blue one and Kim's Creekside mini is so pretty too.
Really a wonderful parade thanks for hosting it.
I already have the Strawberry Social Mini in my pattern stash and can't wait to make it.

Oh wow! What great mini quilts! I’m so glad I don’t have to pick a favorite, because I just couldn’t do it. They are all so cute!

Those are all super cute. It would be tough to choose a favorite. I love the strawberry choice for next month.
