There is nothing like walking into a clean just gives me a happy feeling! I even cleaned the window and dusted the shutters over the weekend which really needed to be done!

My sewing room is small (about 9' x 10'); however, the natural light makes it

Tips for Using Orphan Blocks

Hello and happy Thursday! While doing a little cleaning in my sewing room this week I happened upon my stash of orphan blocks. Orphan blocks are extra blocks made to test block patterns or blocks that were made for quilts or projects that never got used. As I was sorting through my found "treasures" I started thinking of all of the different ways I could use them...and that gave me the idea for this post!

If you have a few of these unused blocks sitting somewhere in your sewing

Favorite Quilting Tools and Notions

After so much crazy sewing in just a couple of weeks, my sewing room is now pretty I started picking things up and putting them away I realized how very helpful some of my favorite tools and notions were in helping me get such a lot done in a short amount of time. So I snapped some pictures and thought it would make for a good blog post.

In full disclosure I'll let you know that I took all of the pictures on my sewing

Creekside Fabric Collection

Hello and happy Friday! Today I'm excited to be able to show you our new Creekside fabric collection for Moda fabrics...with lots of close-up photos!  Creekside was inspired by the beautiful area where my Mom lived when Chelsi was a young girl. There was a beautiful creek not too far away from my Mom's home, and wildflowers grew along the path to the creek. The skies were always bright and blue, and there were birds and wildlife of every kind that lived in the area.

This collection is delightful, and although I've been sewing with it non-stop since

When I saw the other quilt which was made up of thousands of little squares...I
