All in a Row Again Blog Hop

Hello and happy Wednesday!  Welcome to my stop on the Moda All-Stars All in a Row Again blog hop! I loved the first All in a Row book and was delighted to be able to create a row for this publication!  We had a fun "fashion" show with our rows and Quilt Market this fall that was quite entertaining (those Martingale ladies sure know how to present a great Schoolhouse session)!

There are a lot of fun giveaways going on with this book right now, so you'll

Christmas Quilt Finish

Hello and happy Tuesday!   Today I have a quilt finish to share...my  Jolly Bar Jazz quilt came back from the quilter!  I love the fun Modern Loops pattern with this design and had a lot of fun seeing it all come together with the red binding!

This quilt really went together quickly (using the Jolly Bar pre-cuts really sped things up).  You can see my original post about this quilt here.

The fabrics are from the Merrily Collection by Gingiber for Moda fabrics.

I might have taken a lot of pictures of this one!  I love how the bold prints mix with the more subtle ones...and the background I used has a subltle tone on tone design which shows up a little better in person.

Again...just love those modern loops...I'll definitely have to use this quilting pattern again!

This one is going to get wrapped up for giving this Christmas!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Christmas Tree Quilt Blocks

Hello! For quite a while now I've been wanting to make a Christmas tree quilt--there--have been lots of fun ones I've seen on blogs and on Instagram providing plenty of inspiration to get started.  Because I needed to make some Christmas tree blocks for a bee I've been participating in this year I decided to test out a few different patterns to see if I could decide which design I want to use for my own quilt.

All of the designs I tested were a lot of fun to make (and different people might

Blue and Cream Quilt Update

Hello and happy Thursday! While my main quilting goal before the end of the month is to finish up my Christmas log cabins...I've also been trying to work on my on-going blue and cream quilt as I can.  Just last week I was gifted some amazing blues and creams from a variety of Minick & Simpson collections...so of course I had to sew with them right away!

I thought I had bits and pieces of most of the Minick & Simpson collections, but

I'm getting low on the backgrounds I set aside for these blocks, so instead of

Scrappy Log Cabin Quilt Along Update

Hello and happy Tuesday! I finally had the chance to work on my scrappy Log Cabin blocks.  I'm really trying to finish up this quilt by the end of the month, so I felt like twenty-seven blocks was a good accomplishment for a Saturday!

For this batch I went completely scrappy...mixing and matching reds and greens

Hometown Christmas Layer Cake Quilt

Hello! I finished the binding on my first big Christmas quilt for this year just before leaving for market.  I have to say this is already a favorite.  I think I'm going to wash it right away so it's ready for use this holiday season!

I love the fact that you can make this quilt with one Layer Cake and some additional fabric for sashing, outer triangles, border, and binding.  I was determined to use fabrics from my stash for those and was successful (although i had purchased the setting triangle fabric not too long before deciding on this project).

I think one of the darker greens from the quilt or even from another Sweetwater collection would have made the perfect binding...but I was going for using what I had on hand and so used the backing fabric for my binding.  I still like it...but I think I would have liked a darker green better.

The all-over quilting was done by my friend Kaitlyn using the Garden Gate pattern.  I actually picked this pattern and am super happy with how it looks on this quilt!

So now my full size Hometown Christmas quilt and my Hometown Christmas mini are both finished...time to get working on my Scrappy Christmas Log Cabins!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Quilting Life Block of the Month | November

Hello and happy Saturday! I was planning on posting this Monday, but I have so many things I need to share in the next week that I decided to add in a weekend post.  I'm happy to be able to share the final two blocks with you today for the 2017 Quilting Life Mystery Block of the Month!  And I'm a month early with the final block!  There were two blocks released last month, and I'm also releasing two blocks this month; this makes a total of 13 blocks, and you'll need the extra block if you are doing the on-point setting.

I'm planning on getting my blocks set together next week, and as soon as my

I've been wanting to make this cute little thread catcher for quite a while now; I

Quilt Market Houston 2017

Hello  and happy Thursday!  International Quilt Market in Houston, Texas was absolutely wonderful.  I always do a lot of work prior to leaving (and also work hard while I'm there), but the inspiration gained always seems to make it so very worthwhile.

Although we saw some remnants of the awful devastation of the Hurricane that
