Creekside Giveaway

Hello and happy Friday!  Today I have a fun giveaway from Fat Quarter Shop! The folks at Fat Quarter Shop are giving away two Creekside Jolly Bars to one of my readers!

But first I need to announce the winners of two other recent giveaways here on

the blog!  Congratulations to Rosemary B who wins the Moda tins...and congratulations to CJ who wins the $30 gift certificate from Olie & Evie!  I've emailed you both!

Jolly Bars contain 40 rectangles measuring 5" x 10" (so half of a Layer Cake).  It's generally a better deal to purchase a Jolly Bar than to pick up two charm packs, and the Jolly Bars are so very usable.  The Creekside Jolly Bar comes with the free Thistles Quilt pattern included, and there are a lot of other great ideas for this fun fabric collection available.

I just had to remind you of the fun prints and designs included in the collection...so many fun prints and patterns in fun, vibrant colors!

If you are interested in combining Aurifil thread and Bella solids with the Creekside fabrics, here are the coordinating colors available (along with links to shop where I could find them):

So...for a chance to win these two Jolly Bars from Fat Quarter Shop, simply leave a comment mentioning your favorite pre-cut...thanks so much for stopping by...good luck, and have a great weekend!

PS...I'll be announcing this giveaway on IG as well, but you'll need to leave a comment here on the blog to win :)

I use fat quarters mostly and I almost always buy them in bundles. I've used all the other precuts and made a great lap quilt with a jolly bar. Those jolly bars are fun to work with. Your new line is so cute. I've been following your blog for a few years and it is a reflection of your personality.

Rebecca Stevens said...

Layer cakes, I could cut them down into 4 charm packs or 16 mini charms or even jelly roll widths. But the price of the jolly bar has me rethinking that-who needs 16 mini charm packs of the same fabric ;-D Love this new fabric too.

Kathy said...

Layer cakes are my favorite. Thanks for the giveaway chance.

Cotton Blossom said...

I am almost always drawn to Charm packs. I really love the bird print in Creekside. I also love the navy colorway. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

I love fat quarters the most because you can do so much with them! You have three layer cakes inside, or six charm packs, etc. You can make a really large quilt which is what I usually do after I swoon over the fabric for at least a year.

I've only ever purchased charm squares (and made thousands of those from my scrap stash of 40+ years), and a couple of layer cakes. I can see how these jolly bars would be lovely to work with. Thanks for the opportunity to win! Deb E / Oregon mdenders@msn.com

tpott said...

I love Charm packs, I can always add a little fabric and make a baby quilt in a pinch. I've never bought a Jolly Bar but thinking that they're 2 Charm packs is a great thought when planning a quilt. I'm pretty sure I have every type of precut, they look beautiful desplayed on the shelf, ready to pet at any time. To be totally truthful I LOVE fabric in any form! Precuts make it possible for people like me who are color challenged to make quilts. Even better I do enjoy having a piece of every fabric in the line. Thanks, Toni Anne ;->

Lana Ku said...

I like the charm packs, but I like your idea of the jolly bars instead of 2 charms. More versatility too this way. Thanks.

Tracy said...

I use to just love fat quarters, I still do! But I really love all the precuts, just depends on the pattern! I love mixing them together!

Deb said...

I've mainly used charm packs. I love that I can purchase the entire collection in a charm pack. If I would win, these would be used to finish up my Moda Blockheads quilt. I've been using the pieces left from a previous project from your previous collection.

I love Layer Cakes but Jolly Bars sound great. Thanks for the chance to win.

deannasrealestate.com said...

I love charm packs the most so far
I'd love to try jolly bars

Such a difficult question, since the size of the best precut depends on the needs of the project. But the fat quarter is the most versatile, and allows the greatest freedom in designing a quilt. I haven't tried Jolly Bars yet, but they look fun! Thank you for offering this beautiful fabric!

Kim said...

I love fat quarters because they’re big enough for pretty much any project

Fat quarters would be my favorite. I've used jelly rolls in a couple quilts, but I don't like the way they're sometimes narrower at the fold than the ends. I'm not real fond of pinked edges either. I'd rather cut fat quarters any size I need for piecing. However, I'd take any one of your collections in any form and love it! All your fabrics are beautiful.

Love fat quarters. Seems like I always have an urge to make something that suits a different pre-cut than I have in my hand. Except for really long strips, a fat quarter solves that problem. But I might try one of those Jolly Bars and that great looking pattern.

I'm a love of ALL pre-cuts but I guess I'd have to say that fat eighths are my favorites. Usually when I have a fat quarter I have plenty of leftovers and sometimes a charm pack or a jelly roll just isn't enough for what I want to make. I like the longer length but don't always need a full 10". That's when Layer Cakes become my favorites :-)

CHarm packs followed by layer cakes are my favourite! But I have never tried a jolly bar! They could become a new favourite 😂
