"Planned" Scrap Quilts

Happy Tuesday!  When I typed today's post title I was a little taken aback...I simply can't believe it's already the third week of the new year. Time has been flying by! Since it's Tuesday, I'm going to talk about sewing and quilting with my stash, but first I have to share a little something I started the other day...

Scrap Quilts from Strips

Hello! As I've previously mentioned, this year I'm focusing on sewing with my stash, and for me that means making scrap quilts! My long-term goal is to make a scrap quilt every quarter as well as continue working on scrap projects I've already started.

There are, of course, lots of ways to make scrap quilts, but for my first scrap

Happy Friday

Hello! This was actually supposed to be my first thing in the morning Friday post...but somehow the end of the week just flew by, so I'm a little late! I've been doing quite a bit more organizing, a little secret sewing, and a lot of prep work for upcoming projects...and in the midst of all of that one of my favorite collections arrived

on my doorstep this week...Strawberry Fields Revisited, by Fig Tree & Company.

Weekend Quilting & More

Hello! Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I spent more time organizing this weekend than sewing, but I know it will make for a lot more sewing and quilting time soon, so I figure it was time well spent!

I was able to finish up four more blocks for my half-square triangle scrappy sampler. This is the work in progress I'm hoping to finish this month and since I

Minis and More & New Mini Quilt

Happy Monday! Today is Minis and More day for the December projects.  We had a few project options for December since we knew it was going to be a busy month. You can see last month's parade and read about the project options here. At the end of today's parade is a new mini quilt I've designed for our January project. I'm pretty excited about it and hope you will love it, too!

Jodi begins our parade with her version of the Abundantly Blessed pattern. I love how she made a table/bed runner version with hers!
