I still need to bind my quilt, but I've got the tutorial all ready to go!
I try to cut squares and strips from left overs when I'm sewing other projects. After doing my market sewing I found I had a lot of squares left over. I started sewing them into 9-patch blocks and ended up making a table runner for market with some of the left-overs.
But I had a lot more left over 9-patch blocks, and so I decided to make a quilt!
I backed my quilt with the little grey dot print from the new Little Ruby collection by Bonnie & Camille for Moda. I'm pretty sure I'm going to bind it with one of the medium blue prints!
I also used a favorite fabric for the sashing. You can use a solid color, or use a low-volume print as I did.
I've written up the tutorial in two different sizes...you can make a 30 block version (like mine) which finishes at 52 1/2" x 61 1/2" or if you have lots of scraps you can make the larger 61 1/2" x 70 1/2" quilt.
I also have a PDF available for this quilt on my Craftsy site (be sure to download the PDF now as it will be free until Saturday, July 9th) for my blog readers.
Get the quilt tutorial and link to the PDF.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
