Stars and Stripes Quilt: Finished!

Hello! I had to share my most recent finish! I got my Stars and Stripes quilt back from the quilter on Friday and immediately set about choosing a binding!

I took a little survey on my Instagram account and the overwhelming response

was to go with a navy binding! I had been leaning that way and was really happy for the feedback. I chose the spring dots in navy from Desert Bloom.

My friend Michelle did the fabulous quilting...I always love loopy quilting, and this pattern had some stars along with the loops!

So happy to have this one finished up before the holiday!

You can find a link to the pattern by Camille Roskelley at the end of my first post about this quilt.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

The quilt is very beautiful. I really like the turquoise used with the red, white, and blue fabrics. Holiday quilts are so much fun!!

Wow, how did you finish that so quickly? Maybe you were lucky to have an advance copy of the pattern. I am going to do the same pattern using Vintage Picnic, not sure I can have it ready by the 4th of July, but I might try.

Looks awesome!

I had almost convinced myself I did not n d to make this quilt, too many things already in the works or waiting not too patiently! That navy binding and fun quilting as put me over the top...now off to find a kit and get the pattern! ( I know I could use stash but that would require more thinking than I want to commit to this fun project!)

Love it Sherri! It's so fun that your fabric line could be used for a red, white and blue (and aqua) quilt! Hugs, H

This is beautiful. I am envious that you were able to send it to a quilter. I am just trying my first attempt at free motion quilting for a quilt for my son. It is called "London's Calling" and is also red white and blue. It is a queen size quilt and has been a nightmare. I don't think I will ever quilt a piece of this size again. Well done and I agree that the navy binding finishes it off nicely.

I just love this patriotic quilt. I think it would be cute as a table runner too. And I love the navy binding also. Thanks for your inspiration! I am a follower on Instagram, and now a follower here too.
