Hello and Happy Monday! It has been a very hot weekend with above normal temperatures even for us and high heat warnings almost every day. That made it a good thing to stay in doors and spend some time getting a little organized.
One thing that got set aside with all of my market rush preparations was my
Splendid Sampler blocks. The Splendid Sampler project has been a great project to have because there really is no pressure to stay caught up...it's a journey, not a race! There are a few other projects I've fallen a bit behind on, but this one was an easy one to pick up again after a few weeks off.
So, I picked a couple of easy blocks I had missed to ease back into sewing. First I made Amy Ellis's block, Simple Surprises. This was a fast and fun block...
Block 21, Sweet Candy, designed by Kris Thurgood, was another quick one I made...
I think it was good to make a couple of blocks to get me back into working on this project. I've printed off some of the others I've fallen behind on and hope to make 3 or 4 of them this week.
Just getting them out and looking at them all together is pretty good motivation to keep working on these!
What have you been sewing on recently?
Thanks so much for stopping by!
