Happy Monday! I hope your weekend was a good one. As usual, I had more on my list than I could get finished up, but I'm really happy with what I was able to do!
I made the most recent Splendid Sampler block which is perfectly named "Local
Quilt Shop" and was designed by Jane Davidson (doesn't every sampler quilt need a quilt shop?)! You also have the option to add some embroidery to this block which will make it even cuter! (Find the directions for Jane's block here).
I really do think I need to take a picture of all of my blocks every time I finish a new one...and the next Splendid Sampler block release is mine...I can't wait to share it with you!
Before I started sewing this weekend, I cut out a few things I needed to make and got them all set on design boards. It helps so much when I do that!
I also finished up something that had been on my to do list for a long time. For over a year I've been wanting to make some pillowcases to go along with some of the Fig Tree quilts I have on the beds in our guest room and the master bedroom. I finally got those made. Again...I had them all cut out so that when I had a chance to head into the sewing room they were ready to go!
Along with posting a Splendid Sampler block this week I also have a Farmer's Wife block tutorial...be back soon!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
