Splendid Sampler and Flowering Snowballs

Hello! Happy Thursday! Today is Splendid Sampler day, and I've got today's block ready to share (I still need to catch up on last Sunday's block, but it involves handwork, so I'll get to that one this weekend).

I really had a lot of fun picking the fabrics for this block...I decided to use my

favorite Fig Tree gingham for the outer triangles, and it really makes the block

stand out. These are really so much fun...think I'd better get a box to keep them in! Find today's block information on the Splendid Sampler blog.

Now all of the blocks I shared in cut-out/design board stage the other day are complete...time to fill up the design boards again!

Today I also want to share a little bit about the two blocks on the bottom two design boards. They are flowering snowball blocks for one of my quilting bees. The great thing about these blocks is that Callie sent them out already cut using the Accuquilt Go! Flowering Snowball die. I absolutely loved that the die cuts the pieces with notches, making it super easy to line up and sew.

The blocks went together beautifully. since they finish at 12", Callie is going to have the start to a really great quilt with these.

I've decided I've got to get this die for my Go! Cutter and make my own flowering snowball quilt!

Have you ever made this pattern? Do share!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Love all your Sample Blocks and the fabrics you are choosing for them. You have a real knack for matching up the fabrics in each block.
I have never tried a flowering snowball block. Yours look beautiful!

Your sampler blocks are super splendid! I've been downloading the patterns but haven't committed to making them as I'm working on other projects right now. The flowering snowball block is beautiful. I don't remember seeing that design before.
