Picnic: New Quilt Pattern

Hello and Happy Friday! Today I have a new quilt pattern to share...introducing "Picnic" which I've pieced using the Vintage Picnic collection by Bonnie & Camille!

This is one of those quilts I've had on the drawing board for a little while

because it seems like I'm always wondering what to do with fat eighth bundles. I've designed a few patterns with them, but this time my goal was to really utilize the bundle so there weren't a ton of left overs...to maximize the size of the quilt.

This is a fast and fun pattern (beginner friendly) that you can make with just a fat eighth bundle and a yard for the border (by following the cutting diagram you can even cut strips for a scrappy binding from your bundle).

I was super happy with the way it turned out...if you have a fat eighth bundle sitting around...this is a great way to use it so that all of the fabrics get a chance to shine!

PDF patterns are in my Etsy shop now, and paper patterns will ship in 1-2 weeks. And...

because I always like to do a "pattern special" when introducing new designs, you can get the Picnic PDF pattern this weekend only for just $6.

Have a wonderful weekend...thanks so much for stopping by!

I love this new quilt pattern, Sherri! Perfect for a quick quilt, but especially great for fabrics you have a hard time cutting up because they are so special. These big squares let them shine. Thank You!

Such a pretty quilt Sherri! And I just got a fat eighth bundle of the Vintage Picnic fabric. I like buying them that way: less of a dent out of the budget!! :-) Do I dare start a new quilt? I only have about 50 in the works: Paul is begging me to finish some and not start any new ones! :-D It's my quilting ADD!!! I've got family in for the weekend, so no sewing right now any way! Have a great weekend!! Hugs, H

Hi, I ordered the downloadable pattern but haven't received it yet. Looking forward to making a quilt with Forest Floor by Art Gallery. Let me know if there is a problem. I can send you my invoice.
