Another Binding Kit

Hello! Last spring I had a lot of fun stitching a binding kit...perfect for holding scissors, needles, thread, binding clips, and with an extra pocket to spare!

This is a free PDF pattern designed by my friend Vanessa Goertzen. You

can find the tutorial for the binding kit on her blog, Lella Boutique. Anyway...I loved my binding kit, but I kept wishing I had used Soft & Stable instead of batting for the interfacing of the main body piece.

Just recently I quilted up a piece of Soft & Stable, and I was ready to go. Instead of the strawberry pocket in the pattern, I used three 1 1/2" x 3 1/2" strips, sewed them together and then used a 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" square for the lining.

The kit is small enough to take anywhere (I love having it all ready to go at a moment's notice), and yet big enough to hold plenty of binding clips (I love binding clips).

And I'm really so glad I took the time to make another one...I gave my first one to my daughter, and she loves it...so it went to a good home!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

This is fab! And so beautiful. There's always something I can't lay my hands on when I'm ready to sit down and turn the binding. You may have even convinced me to tackle a zipper!

Beautiful binding kit! I'm sure your daughter loves it, too, since she is the lucky one who get the 'old' one;-)

Love this idea. I should make one. Do you know how many clips the pouch will hold?
