Log Cabin Christmas Table Topper Tutorial

Happy Wednesday! I've started my Christmas gift sewing, and recently did a tutorial for a Christmas Log Cabin table topper that I've shared over at the Accuquilt blog.

I used the Log Cabin die which cuts perfect 1 1/2" strips in the exact lengths needed for log cabin blocks. A 12" finished block can be made; however, smaller blocks can also be made simply by cutting only the smaller strips.

I just love log cabin blocks, and even though I only needed four of these blocks for my project...I just kept sewing them! (I'm sure I'll figure out a way to use the others soon).

I will be doing a post soon with links to my favorite Christmas sewing projects...but for today...

You can go here for the full tutorial for this 18 1/2" x 18 1/2" table topper. Thanks so much for stopping by!

I love log cabin too and I think I'll give that table topper a try. I don't have the GO but I have a rotary cutter.

Thanks for the idea.

That's beautiful and the perfect little project. Would it be okay to use this for this month's Schnibbles parade? i have a few things I wanna make but after seeing this (and I didn't start with another one yet) it would be the perfect pattern I think.

I have a stack of 64 log cabin blocks sitting on the table waiting to be sewn into a quilt. I finally decided on a Barn Raising layout. Maybe I'll get a chance to start sewing blocks together -- your post has inspired me!

Probably a stupid question but I do not have an accucut or any other brand cutter. Where can I find the length measurements of each of the strips to make your adorable table square just using my rotary cutter?

Thank you!

Yes, I need the exact measurements as well since I would have to use my rotary cutter.
THANKS
