Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! Today I have a couple of favorites...and a sneak peek of a favorite!

Just this week I received my Cozy Cottage 2016 Calendar by Lori Holt. It's a delightful calendar with beautiful photography and some fun projects. There will also be a blog tour I'll be taking part in later this fall with projects from the calendar!

Earlier in the summer I posted about the much anticipated quilt book, the Red and White Quilts: Infinite Variety: Presented by The American Folk Art Museum. I wasn't able to make it to this amazing display of quilts when it was displayed in New York City, but the book is absolutely wonderful! I'm so happy I preordered it and was happily surprised when it arrived the other day.

There are gorgeous pictures of the original quilt show and then beautiful flat shot photos of each and every quilt...it's a dreamy book of inspiration for quilters!

The book includes historical information and 350 pages of beautiful pages and photos...I'm hoping to read every word...

but things are about to get very busy here because just over 60 pounds of fabric arrived the other day...I can't share just yet, though.

Hope you're all set for a quilting weekend...thanks so much for stopping by!

PS From now through September 27th, there are over 500 Craftsy classes on sale for $20 and under...go here to see the choices!

You truly did miss an amazing experience missing the Red and White show. Lucky me I had two friends who insists red I get off my duff and come to the city to see it. Not a traditional setting. As you look through the book you can see the high overhead socials of quilts suspended. It was dazzling but they were many if the designs and construction I personally wanted to see. The book was released early by two months and the price is still inching down on amazon. It is huge! And if you are old enough it reminded you of original Betty Crocker cookbook on hormones, look through your book. I found 20 pages that had been crimped. Well worth money as this collection is simply unique.

I had so many quilty books on my birthday wishlist (next month) that I moved this one to my Christmas wishlist. :-) I can't wait to take a look at the book and am sad I was unable to attend the show in person too.
