Happy Monday! Because it’s the first Monday of the month it’s Minis and More parade day! Michele and I both have parades featuring mini quilts made from the Little Miss Shabby pattern “Sweetness.”
If you are new here, I’ll just give a little explanation of our parade days: we choose a pattern, announce it a month or two in advance, and have a parade on the first of the following month featuring the quilt photos that were sent in. Anyone can join in whether you have a blog or not. If your first name begins with A-K, send your photo to me, and if your name begins with L-Z send your photo to Michele…and now…on with the parade!
Corey’s pattern has three different options, and I have all three options on my parade! We’ll use this pattern again sometime, so you’ll be able to make another one of the options then!
First up is this version by Karen in Ohio. I love her version using Collections for a Cause fabric! It’s perfect for fall!
Helen also made this month’s project and plans to use her mini quilt for a table topper…I love her combination of fabrics as well!
Jodi made a beautiful pillow…I love the straight line quilting, her choice of fabric (Somerset with a linen background), and her Summer Star Mini pillow peeking out from behind!
Karen made the same version as Jodi…but used batiks in blues and greens!
Carol sent in this delightful version made with Denyse Schmidt fabrics from her stash!
And Cathy sent in her photo of her delightful Gingersnap mini…pieced with Fig Tree Tapestry fabrics and quilted and on a beautiful stand!
These mini quilts are perfect for wall decor or table toppers or pillows…
Next months pattern is going to be a Christmas in August project…a mini Christmas tree wall hanging…Mini Juniper by Fig Tree and Company (you can also find the pattern from Fat Quarter Shop). I’m excited to get this one finished up…maybe I’ll even share some sneak peeks throughout the month!
Finally…a word about prizes! We would love the focus of these parades to be all about the patterns and the fabrics…but prizes are fun, too, right? So we’ve decided to do a quarterly prize giveaway, and everyone who entered during the quarter will be eligible. So after next month’s parade we’ll have some giveaways!
Don’t forget to stop over at Michele’s blog (Island Life Quilts) to see the rest of this months quilts! Thanks so much for stopping by!

I want to be sure I understand how this works. Do YOU pick a pattern and we do that pattern? Or do WE pick one? So is next months the Fig Tree pattern Mini Juniper? Do we all do that project? And when would it be due? Sorry. I just read about this and think it would be fun!! Thanks! Kay
