I'm heading out to Quilt Market today...I'm nervous but happily excited at the same time. Since I won't have any booth photos until later in the week I thought I'd share a little more pre-market sewing. All of these projects will work as booth props but will also be used a lot after market!
A couple of years ago I made a Carry On! travel bag--you can see it here-- (pattern by Annie Unrein). I love the bag and knew I needed one with Bright Sun, but I knew I wouldn't have time to make it...
Kait came to the rescue and had this ready in no time!
She was even able to use some of the new bag hardware Annie sells which I love.
I love the zipper pocket on the inside of the bag. This is such a great pattern--it's not too big and not too small...a couple of years ago I even used my Carry On! bag to take my sewing machine as my carry on to Wisconsin!
Kait was also able to stitch up a Catch all Caddy. We will use this in the booth to keep brochures and our Bright Sun buttons contained...
There are great pockets inside, too.
One end has a slip pocket,
Every booth needs a pillow...so I stitched up a Dresden and applique'd it to some wonderful Moda Mochi Linen. I love how it turned out (I used 5 1/2" Dresden blades on a 15 1/2" background).
Finally...we thought a cute doll would be a lot of fun...wearing a Bright Sun dress, of course, This adorable doll was made by a friend of ours who has a wonderful Etsy shop, Sew Darling.
Thanks so much for all of the wonderful comments and terrific support. I won't be able to reply to emails until next week, but I'll definitely be reading comments.
I'll try to get a post up here this weekend, but you can for sure find my market photos beginning tomorrow on my Instagram @AQuiltingLife.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
