Weekend Quilting

I'm always ready for Christmas as soon as the dishes from the Thanksgiving meal are cleaned up and put away. And I couldn't wait to add the borders to my Instagram Sew Along quilt (pattern and sew-along by Lori Holt of Bee in My Bonnet).

I had so much fun piecing this quilt from my Christmas scrap bin. I did add in some Moda Dottie, some Bonnie & Camille fabric, and even a piece from April Rosenthal's Best. Day. Ever. collection.

I even had a piece big enough for the backing in my stash...I got it on clearance a couple of years ago and have been saving it for just the right project.

And I did get a little Christmas decorating started as well. First up was to put some Christmas quilts on the quilt ladder in the front entryway!

Hope you have a wonderful rest of the weekend. Thanks so much for stopping by!

I've been so enjoying seeing this quilt come together over on IG. It's great!! I love the fabrics you have chosen, and really like how the borders came together :)
Now I see that I really need a quilt ladder for the entry;) such a welcoming sight!! X! Lori

This is on my to-do list! Just love your top! But my big "Duh" moment was looking at how you folded your quilts on the ladder! I have one and it never looked right! Going to try your way now. Thanks

Your quilt along top looks great. Of course, using Kate Spain's Christmas fabrics is always a bonus! Love your quilt ladder with modern Christmas quilts on it. I dressed mine yesterday.
